cloudy 60 some degrees at noon
They say 6 more weeks of Winter. When is our Winter going to start? I'm
back in shorts again. No sense putting the plants back because another
freeze can show up again. We've had 2 I think.Cedar season at least is gone, now molds are in. Wil still goes through coughing spells. Occsionally I have a cough. Mine is probably coming from GERD though.
Today I had veg/hamburger soup on the agenda. I didn't get it started in time so we had sandwhiches for dinner. Now it will probably be done way before supper but I turned it to low after 2 hrs. on high.
Wil said "you didn't put sweet potato in there did you". "Yes but your white potato is there too". He has never even tasted sweet potato but is determined he doesn't like it. sigh... Maybe I better make sure they aren't touching. lol
One pile Tony made this morning. He dug out 2 garbage bags full yesterday.
Large garbage bags, though Wil told him not to make them to full as
they would be too heavy.Neighbors on each side of us don't remove them and one never even mows so you can see what causes us to have an abundance in our yard.
I don't know how much we should pay Tony. Can't pay him by the hour as he takes time to talk to us when we are out there, plus go get his kid from school etc. :-D If we paid him what I would expect for the job we couldn't afford it. LOL He can use the stand up weeder we got yesterday on the big ones. And of course so many are big. another sigh.
It looks like rain but I'm in shorts again. Yesterday the high was in the 70's and today is supposed to get there too.
This morning I ordered a stainless steel gazing ball for out front. Glass one got a hole in it along with some cracks. I was shocked to find I could get it without postage through Amazon if I didn't mind waiting over a week. Wonder if that is a policy or special? I like glass ones, but they run about $20 and for some over $20 more you don't have to replace them every year. (or every 2 yrs)
Crown Jewels is having an auction on insulators, I bid on 2 and figured I'd get outbid in a hurry. I don't remember when it ends. Email just came in, I was outbid on the radio strains. Tough I'm not raising my bid. I figure it I won all 10 I' d keep the best in the house and put the others out where I hope to build the rock garden.
I went out to ask Tony if he'd like some coffee. Got side tracked checking the artificial plant pot that was Scott's and shouldn't be outside any way. The foam in it broke all to pieces. So I cleaned the pot out, grabbed some rocks and plunked the artificial plant in it. When the leaves fade real bad I'll throw it away.
While washing the rocks off to prop with I looked at the bird bath I told Wil needed cleaned. He forgot I guess. So change my slide on's and did that, rinsed off my muddy slide ons, and now I'm resting again. I'm wondering if Wil doesn't feel good? He is content to sit and watch old stuff on TV.
Yeah I sighed again. lol
On to groups, I now have the job of doing mask challenge bi weekly and still tube challenges for Tues. and Thur. Nice to be needed. lol
