8:23 a.m. 68 degrees!
I'm going to start sharing other folks work on my picture for the member challenge. I do believe a couple entries ago I posted the lilies.
I really enjoy Robbie's group as I see so many other ideas as well as learn things. While they always say nice things, you sometimes wonder if your work is really that good. Yeah I have had other groups where some remarks were far from constructive.
Tuesday I did not go to the pool. Today I have to and I'm not looking forward to getting that splint on. Yesterday afternoon I took it off and walked around here without it. Didn't walk a whole lot, watered flowers, answered a knock at the door, that kind of thing.
I need to put a big sign on the door "No we do not need the tree pruned, go next door". lol
Two guys in the last few days. Last night I couldn't resist asking the fella what he thought needed pruned on the oak. "Well the drip line could use some trimming". That is a dead give away that they don't know anything about pruning. Around here they want to cut the drip line and not back at the limb's other end. Either that or they want to top trees which is stupid.
When I saw them next door in the back yard explaining that I thought oh good grief what did they say about the mulberry out front of the place that just needs to come down? The tree they have totally ruined pruning themselves.
Which reminds me of a conversation I had with mom night before last. She said my dad didn't know anything about pruning the blueberries. She said she would walk behind him and correct his prunes. Funny any time I was there and dad was out working blueberries she wasn't with him. Other times her conversation in letters would be about her time taken with mending the nets. I never remember her saying she was out pruning.
No doubt in my mind she may have been out in the patch at some time and told him he wasn't doing it right, and no doubt she was correct when she said he'd just walk on down the line ignoring her.
Dad was real good at ignoring her.
She laughed at me when I told her I could never prune roses properly. So she did her make a big deal how easy it was and started to tell me how. Sure glad I have digital phone.
Didn't matter to her when I told her I didn't have roses any more.
She was on a tangent then about Mike's wife. Cindy's niece had lived with them all her life after her mom died. When niece was ready to go to college they stored a bunch of stuff in mom's barn.
After years of elements and probably a few field mice the area is a mess. Niece has never cleaned it up at mom's request so after mom got embarrassed the other day she started to clean it up. Cindy blew up and told mom her parents were better than mom I guess.
Mom, and dad, when he was alive, apparently never set boundaries about the barn and even borrowing stuff. Now since dad is gone brother Mike and his wife are in and out of it without asking mom. She doesn't like that.
I told Wil when mom dies Mike is not going to see the big riding mower as part of the estate, he will see it as his. No matter mom bought the expensive thing at his request instead of using the one she liked and used to use. I will also bet that will be the attitude he will take about most stuff that is on the property.
No I don't want the mower. lol
OK the last of someone else's work with my picture. Not so sure I care for this one though I think I know what she was striving for. Outer edge seems unfinished to me.
OK I have mail to check.
Oh does anyone having XP get the new service pack 3 for it? I got notice about that today and reading through it I don't think I'll get it. I don't see security issues and I can just see it messing up with my other software. Though my software wasn't on the incompatible list they have.
Yesterday I got this email from Vidahost:
Yesterday you may have received a notification that we would soon be moving your hosting account to a new server.
