9:56 a.m. sunny, humidy 71% (I guessed 70)
Over at Kathy's this was Vikki's take on my flowers. Pretty neat and I think I have that bubble plug in.
Chandler got kicked out of the bedroom last night and the comforter tossed in the washer. We just don't know if his thyroid med is not working now or what his problem is. So at 6 a.m. when I got up he was just sitting outside the door and I felt bad.
This morning I got busy and called the city head horticultrist. What a pleasant person! He said the City Manager reminds them they are in the business of customer service. Too bad one of her managers doesn't know that.
Today is the meeting with the Councilwoman for Wil. I am betting the crusty know it all he talked to last Friday will be there.
Now the horticultrist is going to have the Senior Horticultrist for the city go out to Slick Park and evaluate the ligustrum situation.
We even ended up talking about the fly by night pruning folks that hit our doors when the brush trucks are due. I was correct in thinking this is not the time of year to prune oaks! Sure glad I remembered something!
He gave me the name and phone number of the City Forester. I didn't know we had one. He said he may be able to come out and assess the trees in our backyard and offer some advice. I hope so. That will settle my concerns over the Tallow and Afghan Pine. Tallow is looking better this year. Plus I can maybe find out what those lumps are on the Pistache.

He told me they refer to the Hackberry as Pigeon Tree and seemed to get a kick out of the fact I knew why. I told him our neighbor's was a problem long before pigeons showed up here.
He did tell me we have the right to lop off the branches hanging over our property. And he suggested we do our own pruning of the pistache before the neighbor does. I'd figured that.
Perhaps Wil can get to that chore this weekend as the brush trucks are due by next week.
You should walk in our house and get a whiff of the roast in the crock pot right now. Of course if I hadn't moved it on the counter I wouldn't have seen I forgot to plug it in. I had turned it on when I dropped the browned roast in, just didn't realize. This isn't the first time I've done that either! Lucky I found it quicker.
Yesterday I trotted over to eBay to look at Campbell soup kid mugs. Not such a great collectors item I guess. While there I did a no no, started looking at insulators.
As a novice over there I stupidly placed a bid. So of course someone else had been smart enough to list their top bid and allow eBay to do that increment thing. I'm always afraid to do that.
So this morning I found the outbid and I bid again to immediately see I was outbid. So I gave my top, but I know the other person will wait til closer to the end to add a quarter and have the insulator.
This was embossed of course by someone else, not the maker. Coming from PA is why I even considered it. Oh well.
I always feel strange when I read about the estates things come from.
I ran into the funniest listing though. May just stick it here in a table in a smaller font. Or may wait until tomorrow to post it. Oh I'll forget it tomorrow.
Payment is Expected within 3 days.....Not when your uncle Joe's will is probated.....And please calculate that 3 days in human years...not dog years!
I have tried running after the mail truck, following to it's destination to make sure that your package doesn't get lost or damaged. But quite frankly all that exercise is wearing me out. So, if you are shipping USPS and want protection please take insurance so I can stay home and get some rest.......
Please be aware that if you ship USPS without insurance I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage by the Post Office
PLEASE DON'T BID IF..........
You have been asked to appear on the "Today" show because of your pig calling talent, which is currently the rage on You-Tube....
You are suffering from a severe case of rabies or are in a self induced coma and have neglected to appoint an ebay administrator to handle your bids and payments......
You are being sent overseas on a top secret mission and won't be around to respond.....
The President called you to the White House for a consultation on the economy and foreign affairs......
Your computer is located just too far away to check emails more than once a month.....
You just have fun pressing all those cute little buttons on your keyboard......
You love to window shop, but don't want to spend your money....
You are just too busy with your "My Space" page....
I am sure there are other ways you can have your fun......Like Eating Pig Intestines and Camel Regurgitation on FEAR FACTOR......
Or Spending a month on SURVIVOR ISLAND wearing rags, inhaling the gentle aroma of unwashed bodies and of course Chowing down on those yummy Goat Testicles.
