princess 1959 Princess(R) Telephone "It's little, it's lovely, it lights..." The desk set got a smart new look. Compactness, attractive styling and illuminated dial that lights up when you lift the handset. You could also set it for a night light.  It came in white, beige, pink, blue and turquoise.
It was also quite awhile before we could afford one. I think our kids were in Middle School.
Home Interphone System

An outgrowth of the inter-communicating services offered to businesses for many years. Home Interphone service emplys specially equipped telephones and speakers to handle regular phone calls, communicate between rooms, talk with someone at the door, check on children, and they stated even call a dog to his dinner.

Latest in the line of wall phones, the Panel Phone mounts flush to the wall. A special feature was the retractable handset cord that winds up automatically. There were 2 color combinations: Copper faceplate with beige handset, and anodized aluminum faceplate with white handset.


 
touch tone 1964 Touch Tone(R)

A new era, the dial is replaced by pushbuttons. As each button is pressed two simultaneous musical tones are generated and transmitted to a central switching office, then translated into a series of pulses similar to those made by the standard telephone dial.

Service on a national basis followed trial use of different designs produced by Western Electric's model shop in Indianapolis, where it was made.

This instrument is directed toward the "dial-to-user" concept and is designed as a small combined telephone set with a space-saving rotary dial. It includes a dial light. 

            Is this one still in use? Anyone know?

This they referred to as a NEW LOOK the Picturephone. It had pushbuttons that control the television screen so you could see the person or be seen yourself, or have a darkened screen.  The stated: "Attended service between New Yourk, Washington and Chicago began in 1964."
